With a name like Day Bang, I was expecting Machieavellian type ploys to remove the panties from girls. Instead, this book is an easy to read, immensely informative, treatise on initiating normal conversation with a stranger and keeping the conversation rolling. Roosh V. doesn't provide witty come-on lines that are common with drunks in bars but rather discusses ways to ask open ended questions about anything at all that may be of interest at the time. For example, if a girl is in a coffee shop and is working on a laptop and is open to a conversation because she is looking around or is looking at you and smiling, you might ask her if that laptop is a good laptop. Then he demonstrates the art of open ended questions that keep a conversation alive as opposed to asking yes no type questions or menu type questions that tend to stop a conversation in its tracks.This method of conversation was discussed in a book I read called, Conversationally Speaking. Roosh's book is an updated, often humorous, very easy to read, version of this book that is focused on conversations with women that you meet in various locations during the day. He gives specific examples for mutliple types of common locations where women tend to congregate.
I discovered "Day Bang" some three or four years ago while browsing various titles on dating for men. At the time, I had no idea who (author) Roosh was. What made me purchase a copy? I visited the author's website and saw a picture of him. It was what has come to be known as a typical Roosh pose--sitting cross-legged, looking at the camera, thinking. Guys who know Roosh through his blogs and videos have come to appreciate him as an astute man. University-educated. An independent thinker. What I also discovered, those years ago through a brief visit to his website, was a spiritual side. Even though most (if not all) of his books at the time were about picking up women. And that inkling motivated that initial purchase.As for "Day Bang" and its contents, it became clear to me that Roosh was a fellow to whom I could relate. Take note, that is even though I am happily married with children. I'm probably not the target audience for anything in Roosh's "Bang" series. Nonetheless, I found the book full of practical advice and specific tips for getting outside of a man's comfort zone and meeting new people. Or, attractive women, specifically.I really enjoyed Roosh's scientific approach to interactions with females. I have an engineering degree and could relate to his process of trial and error. The aspect of his interactions with females (strangers) that I appreciated most was his description of something he terms "elderly chat". That is essentially treating every interaction as though you are speaking with an elderly person in a nursing home or on a park bench. We've all done that. It's easy, it's unthreatening, and we all pre-suppose that the (elderly) person will appreciate the attention.I've tried Roosh's "elderly chat" with all types of people, from attractive women to actual elderly people to... well, anyone. And it works. The thing about that exercise, and others that Roosh advocates in "Day Bang", is that you realize a certain amount of momentum once you get down to the task.Having written this review, I'm going to give "Day Bang" a fresh look. That's the thing about it and other good books. You want to keep coming back to them over a number of years.I also want to point out that through my initial purchase of "Day Bang" I have followed Roosh and his evolution to wider topics such as free speech, travel and self-improvement for men. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but he resonates with me.

I found both books helpful, perhaps even lifechanging though Bang was much more so.I live in a Midwest city where the obesity rate is approaching 80%. For black women the obesity rate is much higher than that--1 in 20 women are slim. Online the male to female ratio is estimated to be 6 : 1. Social media wise, unless you have a very interesting life and travel like Marco Polo, you're not going to be successful. Women do not go to nightclubs to meet men; they go for social validation, leaving Tinder as their go-to method of getting laid. If there is one commonality I hear among young women these days, from all social classes, it is the "nothing serious" refrain. I don't recall women in my younger days being so blatant about requiring men to commit and expend resources while giving no such repricocity themselves. Even marriage can be blown up by women at any time for any (or no) reason.This so few options available to your average male (marriage is out--too dangerous, nightclubs, dating sites, even being a band member is difficult to convert), that really just leaves day gaming...at least until the act of talking to women in public becomes illegal. I suspect it might in the near future.While I have not gotten laid, directly, from Day Bang, I have gotten with no exceptions warm responses from what I would consider the most attractive segment of our female population. Oddly enough, I've gotten mostly brush offs or hostility from mediocre women while day gaming.
