Bought this book for my 8 yr old and after following this book she is able to read her notes and play several songs she has learned through this book. I highly recommend!
This book is very helpful. My 9 year old wanted a Keyboard for Christmas, I did not want the keyboard to just sit and gather dust days after he opened it. I purchased this Learn To Play book to ensure he would use the keyboard, constructively. It definitely lived up to my hopes. My son is using it to play tunes on the keyboard. I would recommend this book to anyone purchasing a keyboard for a first time user. It provided my son with structured play, he is learning the keys.
Great book for the youngest beginner. My son loved it – easy to follow, fun tunes, nice clear illustrations and photos. Highly recommended for any child with their first piano or keyboard.
This was a great guide and is really helping the kids learn how to play their new keyboard. I thought it may have been a bit too advanced for a 6 year old but it seems that isn't the case.
I dont care for it. I am doing better on Youtube learning how to play piano. Might just be me but this book to me is not good for beginners..but I could be wrong. Its like they assume you know things already about reading music which I dont yet.
I am teaching myself how to play the keyboard. My First Keyboard and several other books I have purchased have been very helpful in teaching me the fundamentals of keyboard use. It will also help my grandchildren to learn to play.
